Abu Dhabi has unveiled an historic Dh82.7 billion housing scheme for delivering 35,000 new housing entitlements to Emirati nationals over the next half-decade. The masterstroke move reflects the leadership’s policy of social security and sustainable city planning.

The scheme, which is one of the emirate’s initiatives towards sustainable living and community development, will consist of residential land plots, ready-built houses, and housing loans. These incentives will be allocated across different areas to promote balanced development and better quality of life for Emirati families.

Aside from solving the rising need for accommodation, the plan is set to generate thousands of employment opportunities and spur the construction industry locally. Transparency, efficiency, and sustainability have been promoted by the government in the process of carrying out the project with the assurance of timely completion as well as adherence to environmental considerations.

This new housing scheme is in line with Abu Dhabi’s continuous efforts to invest in its people and future generations. Officials say it demonstrates the leadership’s commitment to dignified living for all Emiratis and ensuring social stability throughout the emirate.
