In a spectacular gesture of togetherness in Ramadan, the Abu Dhabi Hindu temple organized an interfaith cultural evening called ‘Omsiyyat’, which convened more than 200 religious dignitaries, ambassadors, and authorities from different faiths. The gathering was put together to promote dialogue, tolerance, and coexistence among different communities in the UAE.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, was among the guests of honor. He commended the initiative as an embodiment of the UAE’s determination to enhance peace, harmony, and mutual respect among cultures and religions, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event included cultural performances, Ramadan hospitality, and dialogue focusing on common values between Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism, and other religions represented. The guests appreciated the UAE’s open spirit and its commitment to establishing platforms for effective interfaith dialogue.
Organizers mentioned the importance of such events in cementing ties between communities and reinforcing the UAE’s world image as a tolerant and diverse nation. The Abu Dhabi Hindu temple remains instrumental in promoting cultural awareness and religious exchange.
