Abu Dhabi’s authorities have rolled out new workplace guidelines to protect employees during severe weather conditions. These guidelines are a response to changing weather patterns, which include rain, strong winds, and dust storms.

Employers are encouraged to monitor weather forecasts and modify work schedules to minimize outdoor activities when conditions are unfavorable. If workers must work outside, they must have access to proper safety equipment and safe indoor areas.

The guidelines also stress the need for effective communication, urging employers to inform their staff about emergency procedures and to arrange transportation when needed. Additionally, employers are reminded to adhere to labor regulations to ensure the health and safety of their workforce.

This initiative underscores Abu Dhabi’s dedication to maintaining a safe working environment, even amid unpredictable weather, with a focus on prioritizing employee well-being.
