Revamped Course Takes Cyclists Through Scenic Al Ain to Abu Dhabi. The fourth edition of the Bike Abu Dhabi Gran Fondo, set for December 21, 2025, introduces a reversed route—starting in the lush Al Ain region and concluding in Abu Dhabi. This change offers a fresh visual experience, allowing participants to traverse the emirate’s diverse landscapes in a novel direction .

Record-Breaking AED 2 Million Prize Pool
Boasting a grand total of AED 2 million in prize money and 364 awards—an increase of 44 over last year—the event now ranks among the most lucrative single-day cycling competitions globally. Both amateur and professional racers stand to benefit from.

Growing International Participation
Since its debut in 2022, the Gran Fondo has attracted over 1,000 cyclists across 70+ nationalities, cementing its place on the international sporting stage. Organizers anticipate maintaining this multicultural momentum in 2025, aligning with the UAE’s vision of fostering sports-driven unity under the Year of the Community initiative.

Strategic Push Toward Global Cycling Leadership
Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, emphasized that the event embodies Abu Dhabi’s ambition to become a global cycling hub. By enhancing community engagement and promoting healthy lifestyles, the council remains committed to embedding cycling within the emirate’s cultural fabric.
