According to Saudi academics, Ronaldo’s biological age is in his 20s, and scientific research is urgently needed.
Dr. Al Ahmadi describes it as “an unmatched model in modern sports science.”
June 30, 2025 – Riyadh: Despite being 40 years old, Portuguese football great Cristiano Ronaldo’s biological age is equal to someone in their 20s, according to Saudi academic Dr. Al Ahmadi, who made headlines for his remarks.
Dr. Al Ahmadi, who was speaking at a sports science symposium, called Ronaldo a “living case study of elite physical maintenance and performance longevity” and urged academic institutions to explore the athlete’s diet, training, and recuperation strategies.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is not just a football icon—he is a goldmine for sports science. His biological resilience, muscular composition, and metabolic efficiency reflect a body much younger than his chronological age,” Dr. Al Ahmadi noted.
Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, has frequently dazzled fans with his speed, stamina, and physique, often outperforming players nearly half his age. His strict lifestyle—including low body fat, high-intensity training, and disciplined sleep and diet routines—has earned him admiration from athletes and researchers alike.
Dr. Al Ahmadi is calling for collaborative studies between Saudi universities, sports medicine centers, and Ronaldo’s own training team to unlock insights that could benefit sports rehabilitation, aging, and peak performance models.
“Studying Ronaldo could help revolutionize how we train not only athletes but also how we manage physical well-being across a person’s lifespan,” the academic concluded.
The footballer has yet to comment publicly on the proposal, but sports fans and experts around the globe are echoing the call, intrigued by the science behind Ronaldo’s seemingly ageless athleticism.
