The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has warned traders that they must adhere to fair sales practices and pricing regulations as Eid Al Fitr 2025 draws near. The goal of the action is to shield customers from deceptive advertising and unjust price increases during the joyous shopping season.

ADDED has reiterated its dedication to keeping a careful eye on companies and making sure that all supermarkets, retailers, and e-commerce sites follow clear pricing guidelines. Authorities plan to penalise those who engage in price manipulation or misleading marketing strategies after conducting inspections throughout the emirate.

To prevent customer complaints, authorities have advised merchants to uphold moral business conduct and provide transparent pricing. An ADDED representative cautioned, “We will take strict action against any attempts to exploit the holiday demand through unfair pricing strategies,” urging customers to report infractions through the proper channels.

With more shopping anticipated in the upcoming weeks, ADDED’s enforcement actions aim to preserve consumer confidence throughout Abu Dhabi and guarantee a fair marketplace.
