All traffic violations on June 23 are waived once in Qatar

In a generous move, Qatari authorities have announced a full waiver of all traffic violations recorded on Monday, June 23. The decision, described as a one-time-only concession, comes as part of a broader effort to promote goodwill and public cooperation.

The General Directorate of Traffic clarified that the amnesty applies to all types of traffic offences, including speeding, illegal parking, and signal violations committed on that specific date. However, authorities urged motorists not to view this as a precedent for future leniency.

Officials emphasized that the waiver reflects the government’s commitment to easing the burden on citizens while reinforcing the importance of road safety. Motorists are still encouraged to drive responsibly and follow traffic laws to avoid penalties in the future.

This rare gesture has been widely welcomed across Qatar, especially by residents who see it as both a relief and a reminder to adhere to safe driving practices moving forward.
