In Dubai, a delay as short as one minute in parking payments could attract a fine, and this has caused concern among drivers. Nevertheless, Parkin, the operator of parking facilities in the city, has explained how motorists can escape fines while providing insight into the efforts aimed at minimizing parking conflicts.

Talking to *Gulf News*, Parkin clarified that though rules are stringent, there are periods of grace and intelligent solutions at hand to provide equitable enforcement. Drivers are required to pay on the spot when parking, but minor delays under certain circumstances may not always lead to fines.

Parkin also announced that it is in the process of developing sophisticated digital solutions and motorist-friendly policies to make the process easier and reduce misunderstandings. Plans for the future include streamlining the system to make it less harsh on minor delays and enhancing transparency for drivers.

The parking authority encourages residents and visitors to utilize mobile apps and automated systems to stay compliant, ensuring a smoother experience and avoiding unexpected fines as Dubai’s urban mobility continues to evolve.
