Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates has complimented India’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) mission, saying that its positive impacts will go much beyond India’s borders. Gates underlined how India’s emphasis on priority areas like health, education, and technology is becoming a global model for sustainable development.
Speaking on a recent visit to India, Gates complimented the government’s focus on inclusive growth and innovation. “Prioritizing sectors such as health and education has produced a very good dynamic in India, and its ripple effects will certainly impact the wider global community,” Gates stated.
Gates also mentioned India’s global leadership in terms of digital public infrastructure and vaccine manufacturing, both of which have had quantifiable effects on the world’s health and development. He reaffirmed that India’s success under this mission is commensurate with the wider international goals such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The ‘Viksit Bharat’ program is set to transform India into a completely developed country by 2047 through reforms, innovation, and robust governance, making the nation an emerging power in determining the future of the world.
