The UAE will celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with a spectacular event at Zabeel Park in Dubai on Saturday, November 16.
Organized by ‘Emirates Love India’ with the support of the UAE Government Media Office and Dubai Police, this celebration showcases the UAE’s commitment to diversity and cross-cultural harmony.
The event, set to attract around 40,000 attendees, highlights India’s vibrant culture with a mix of traditional music, dance, and folklore, as well as special performances honoring the Indian community’s contributions to the UAE’s growth.
This Diwali celebration is more than a cultural festival; it reflects the deep, historical ties between the UAE and India. These ties date back to a significant cultural agreement during the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s visit to India in 1975, and were further strengthened by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed’s 2017 visit, resulting in a strategic partnership and multiple agreements.
The UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement aims to boost trade between the nations to $100 billion by 2030, cementing their bond.
The UAE’s large Indian community is a key part of this relationship, enhancing both cultural and economic ties and enriching the UAE’s multicultural society.
