Chris Martin Takes a Tumble on Stage During Coldplay Concert in Australia

During a recent concert in Australia, Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin had an unexpected moment when he fell through a trap door while performing. This incident took place as the band concluded their final show of four sold-out nights at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, leaving the audience both shocked and entertained.

Known for his energetic stage presence, Martin was in the middle of sharing stories from Coldplay’s extensive Music of the Spheres World Tour when he suddenly disappeared through the open trap door.

A fan managed to capture the surprising fall on video and posted it on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “The moment Chris Martin fell through a trap door right in front of me at the #Coldplay concert tonight.” Always able to find humor in situations, Martin quickly reassured the crowd, saying, “That’s not planned!” and added with a laugh.

Coldplay’s Marathon World Tour
Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour has been an incredible experience for both the band and their fans. Since it began in March 2022, the tour has taken British rock icons around the globe.

The focus was on sustainability with eco-friendly venues, reduced emissions, and renewable energy sources powering their shows. Aside from Martin’s fall, the tour has been filled with unforgettable performances and surprises for fans worldwide.


The band is now on their way to Sydney, where they’ll wrap up their tour in Australia before heading to New Zealand. After these performances, Coldplay will keep the momentum going, with the tour set to conclude in September 2025 at Wembley Stadium in London.

This 10-day finale at Wembley will signify the end of an incredible journey for Martin. Guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion, who have all been playing together since the band’s inception.
