A new design contest has been initiated, asking UAE residents to light up the world’s tallest building with their imagination. The Burj Khalifa Projection Design Contest is giving a big prize of Dh100,000 to the selected artist whose digital design will be displayed on the iconic tower’s frontage for everyone to see.
Open to all UAE-based creatives, the competition invites 3-minute original projection designs that embody innovation, storytelling, and visual impact. The initiative is part of a broader effort to encourage local talent and highlight the UAE’s rich talent pool of digital artists, designers, and storytellers.
Submissions will be open from May 6 to May 26, and will have to adhere to technical guidelines issued by the organisers for ensuring smooth projection on the huge LED screen of the Burj. A jury comprising creative and industry professionals will judge the submissions on the grounds of originality, visual value, and conformance to the lively cultural energy of Dubai.
The winning design will be projected onto the Burj Khalifa, providing the artist with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to showcase their work to the world. It’s not just a prize—it’s a stage to shine on the world’s tallest digital billboard.
