A multi-vehicle crash in Abu Dhabi has prompted authorities to warn drivers against reckless lane-switching, with sudden swerving being a leading cause of accidents. The Abu Dhabi Police reiterated that violations of this nature carry a Dh1,000 fine and four black points, emphasizing the serious risks of unsafe driving behavior.

A multi-vehicle accident occurred on a major Abu Dhabi road after a driver abruptly changed lanes, causing a chain-reaction collision. Emergency services arrived quickly, and although no fatalities were reported, several individuals sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Authorities remind drivers to always check blind spots, signal, and ensure safe distances between cars when changing lanes. The police have intensified the traffic surveillance while increasing stricter law enforcement on reckless driving penalties to prevent such incidents.

Abu Dhabi authorities are ensuring safety to all road users and continuing to stress the importance of defensive driving practices and adherence to road regulations.
