‘Digital Gold’ for Everyone: UAE Company Introduces $1 Investments

Fasset, a leading digital asset platform, has introduced the ORO token, a revolutionary way for UAE investors to access digital gold at affordable prices. With ORO, residents can invest in gold starting from as little as $1, making gold ownership more accessible while offering returns higher than the usual market rates.

Built on Fasset’s Ethereum Layer 2 network, Own, and in partnership with The Own Foundation, the ORO token represents an ounce of 99.99% fine gold, securely stored with top-tier custodians and fully insured.

“The minimum investment for ORO tokens is just $1, reducing the barriers to gold ownership,” shared Daniel Ahmed, COO and co-founder of Fasset and Own. “This lets people own a fraction of gold at an affordable cost. Plus, users can redeem ORO tokens for physical gold or USDC with a starting value of $85 after a one-day lock-in period,” he added.

Key Features of ORO Tokens:

  1. Fractional Gold Ownership: Investors can purchase gold in smaller, budget-friendly increments.
  2. Redeemable Options: Tokens can be exchanged for physical gold or USDC anytime, with flexible lock-in periods for staked tokens.
  3. Higher Returns: Investors can earn an additional 3–4% annual yield by staking ORO tokens on the platform.
  4. Secure Storage: Physical gold backing the tokens is stored with industry-leading custodians like Brinks, fully insured and audited monthly.

Ahmed also highlighted that ORO ensures full 1:1 backing with physical gold, verified by independent third-party attestations. He noted that digital gold offers easier access and management compared to traditional gold investments, enabling users to benefit from gold’s historical value growth and staking rewards.

Fasset plans to tokenize $1 billion worth of gold within the first year, with early access to ORO tokens scheduled for Q1 2025. The company has already raised $26.7 million in funding and holds regulatory approvals across various countries, including the UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, the EU, Turkey, and Pakistan.

With Fasset’s ORO token, digital gold investments have never been easier or more accessible for UAE residents, paving the way for a new era of financial flexibility and growth.
