Dravid Denies Rift Rumors as Samson Injury Concerns Royals Fans

With the IPL 2025 season gathering momentum, India head coach Rahul Dravid has reacted to rumors of a rift with Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson. Brushing aside reports of a split, Dravid said his relationship with Samson is “professional, focused, and solely on cricket.

The clarification has come in the midst of increasing doubts over Samson’s availability for Rajasthan Royals’ vital encounter against the Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday. The captain picked up a minor injury while playing the last match, and team sources have indicated that his fitness is being closely watched. A final call on his participation will be taken nearer to the match day.

Samson’s unavailability may prove to be a huge loss for the Royals, who are struggling at present to stay in the top half of the table. His leadership and batting form have been the cornerstone of the team’s season so far.

Dravid also commended Samson’s dedication and maturity, saying, “There is mutual respect, and Sanju continues to be an important part of Indian and franchise cricket.” With the playoffs around the corner, fans and management alike hope the problem is now in the rearview mirror and attention can again be on the field.
