Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a comprehensive summer road safety campaign aimed at reducing traffic accidents during the hot season. With temperatures soaring and roads busier than ever, the initiative emphasizes awareness, education, and proactive engagement with drivers across the city.
The campaign includes a wide array of public outreach efforts, from social media messages and roadside banners to free safety workshops and vehicle check-up stations. Targeting both private motorists and commercial drivers, the RTA aims to address key summer-related issues such as tire blowouts, engine overheating, and driver fatigue—all of which contribute to seasonal spikes in road accidents.
In collaboration with Dubai Police and other government bodies, the RTA will also run interactive events at malls and service centres, offering practical advice on car maintenance, safe driving habits, and the importance of hydration and rest during long trips. The campaign will be delivered in multiple languages to ensure it reaches the city’s diverse population.
This summer initiative is part of Dubai’s long-term vision for Zero Road Fatalities and aligns with the emirate’s broader goal of becoming one of the safest cities in the world. Motorists are encouraged to follow traffic guidelines and report unsafe driving to help build a safer community for everyone.
