Riders, RTA Propose Expanding Dubai Bus Network

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is looking into expanding its bus network based on feedback from public transport users.

These suggestions were gathered during a recent virtual session as part of the RTA’s “Talk to Us” initiative on social media.

The session encouraged active participation from riders, especially those who rely on public buses, and received a positive response.

In just the first half of this year, Dubai’s public buses served 89.2 million passengers, indicating a rising demand for this transportation option.

The RTA is currently reviewing the feedback to enhance and expand the bus network to better meet these growing needs.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is considering ways to expand the Dubai Bus network based on valuable feedback from residents.

Through its “Talk to Us” initiative on social media, RTA’s Customers Council recently held a virtual session to gather opinions from public transport users.

The initiative saw strong participation, particularly from regular bus riders, and emphasized the increasing reliance on public buses in Dubai.

In the first half of 2024, 89.2 million passengers used the bus service, highlighting its growing demand.

The RTA is currently reviewing these suggestions as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance public transport services and improve connectivity throughout the city.
