As a sincere act of appreciation, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubai organised its yearly “Champions Carnival,” bringing attention to the thousands of industrious men and women who work tirelessly to keep Dubai operating. The event welcomed workers from over 40 companies, offering them a day of joy, respect, and celebration.

The carnival featured a vibrant mix of music, food, games, cultural performances, and gift distributions. Volunteers and parish members came together to organize the event, aiming to make the workers feel valued and celebrated beyond their roles in construction, cleaning, security, and transport sectors.

“We are expressing our gratitude through this event,” a parish representative stated. These people put in a lot of overtime in the background. Through the Champions Carnival, we hope to give them moments of happiness and recognition they truly deserve.”

The initiative underscores the spirit of community, compassion, and interfaith solidarity in the UAE, where people from diverse backgrounds come together to support one another. With smiling faces, shared stories, and grateful hearts, the carnival proved to be more than a celebration — it was a reminder of human dignity and kindness at the core of society.
