If you’ve been meaning to catch the iconic Dubai Fountain show, this weekend is your last chance—at least for a while. Emaar has announced that the world-renowned attraction will undergo major restoration work, starting immediately after this weekend.
The dancing fountain, situated in front of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, will be closed until October as crews embark on upgrading and conserving the globe-renowned water and light feature.
Famous for its stunning choreography of lights, music, and water jets, the Dubai Fountain has been a major tourist draw for a long time. Emaar said the objective is to improve both performance and sustainability, with an even greater experience when it resumes.
In the meantime, tourists and residents alike are encouraged to catch this weekend’s show before the iconic fountains go silent for a couple of months.
