The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has introduced ‘Salama’, an artificial intelligence-based platform that seeks to make visa services smoother and more convenient. The new system is set to speed up and simplify visa processing, minimize paperwork, and cut waiting time for residents and visitors.

The authorities of GDRFA state that Salama employs AI-powered algorithms to scan and verify documents, answer questions, and guide applicants through step-by-step instructions. The intelligent automation will enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and speed up approvals, making the visa process in Dubai simpler and more user-friendly.

Authorities believe this initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision of becoming a global leader in AI-driven governance. Salama will be integrated with existing government systems to ensure seamless processing across departments, further reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a hub for innovation and smart services.

With the introduction of Salama, GDRFA hopes to revolutionize visa applications, offering faster approvals, improved accuracy, and a smoother experience for all applicants.
