Beginning on July 20, metro services will be available to accommodate sizable crowds at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced extended operating hours for the Dubai Metro to support the upcoming Global Encounters Festival 2025, set to begin on July 20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The move aims to accommodate the expected surge in visitors attending the international event, known for attracting thousands of youth and global participants from diverse backgrounds.

Key Highlights:

Extended Metro Hours: On festival days, the Red and Green lines will operate for extended hours.

Crowd Management: RTA will increase personnel presence at strategic stations and put in place improved crowd-control procedures.

Integrated Services: Smooth continuation from metro stations will be ensured by the availability of taxis and additional feeder buses.

The RTA advises residents and festival goers to use the S’hail or RTA app to plan their routes ahead of time and to pay with contactless Nol cards.

This initiative reinforces Dubai’s commitment to providing efficient, sustainable transport solutions for global events and tourism.
