Dubai’s night beaches have become a hotspot for both tourists and residents, especially during the summer months. Why Night Beaches Are So Popular

Stretching across 800 metres, Dubai’s night beaches are equipped with advanced lighting systems that allow for safe swimming 24/7. To further enhance safety, large electronic screens display continuous public-awareness messages and educational content.

Safety is a top priority, with a dedicated rescue team in place. This team includes an operations manager, an assistant manager, three supervisors, and 16 trained lifeguards. Additionally, the beaches feature modern rescue equipment and beach bicycles to ensure quick responses in emergencies. Dubai Municipality has also established specific night swimming hours between sunset and sunrise.

A Project for Quality Living

Ibrahim Juma, Director of the Public Beaches and Water Canals Department at Dubai Municipality, highlighted the immense popularity of night-swimming beaches, stating that this project aims to provide a unique tourism and leisure experience.

“The initiative allows both residents and tourists to enjoy Dubai’s beaches at night, offering the highest levels of comfort and quality of life,” said Juma. He added that the project aligns with Dubai’s vision of being a global leader in quality of life and a top international tourist destination.

Inclusive and Accessible

One of the standout features of these beaches is their accessibility for people of determination and senior citizens. Dubai Municipality has ensured that night beaches are inclusive by providing floating chairs, specially trained rescue teams, and a rest area designed according to the Dubai Universal Design Code.

Juma emphasized, “The night-swimming beaches are designed to be welcoming and fully accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy this experience.”

Dubai’s night beaches are setting new standards in leisure and tourism, making them a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique beach experience in the city.
