Starting Sunday, December 1, four Dubai bus stations will offer free WiFi, according to an announcement by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The service will be rolled out at Satwa, Union, Al Ghubaiba, and Gold Souq bus stations initially, with plans to expand to all stations soon.
New Year Celebrations in Ras Al Khaimah
On December 31, Ras Al Khaimah will ring in the New Year with grand celebrations, continuing the emirate’s tradition of hosting remarkable events.
The RTA highlighted that this free WiFi initiative is part of its efforts to ensure a better and seamless public transport experience for commuters across Dubai.
New Bus Routes in Dubai
As part of its expansion, the RTA launched three new bus routes on November 29. One of these is Route 108, which directly connects Satwa Bus Station to Global Village.
The route operates on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and special events. Service hours run from 2 PM to 1 AM, with 11 trips in each direction and a 60-minute interval between buses.
Smart Stations for Commuters
Dubai is also preparing to introduce six smart bus stations equipped with free WiFi and phone charging ports. The first smart station will open in Al Barsha, with plans for additional locations throughout the emirate.
