Dubai Opens Doors: Free Zone Companies Can Now Enter Mainland Market

In a significant regulatory change, Dubai has revealed that companies based in free zones can now expand their operations into the mainland officially. This is part of a new resolution to govern free zone entities doing business outside their specified zones, opening up new growth opportunities for firms.

The resolution outlines a clear framework allowing free zone establishments to operate seamlessly across Dubai’s broader economy, encouraging increased investment, innovation, and competition. Authorities expect the change to enhance Dubai’s appeal as a global business hub by eliminating previous barriers that limited cross-border operations within the emirate.

It is hoped that this will especially assist industries like technology, logistics, and professional services to directly deal with new mainland customers and partners. The revised regulations also intend to simplify the process of granting licenses and enhancing compliance levels among industries.

The leadership of Dubai emphasized that the initiative is consistent with the long-term economic diversification strategy of the emirate. By filling the gap between free zones and the mainland, Dubai is gearing up to accommodate a broader investor base while ensuring the sustainable growth of its vibrant business environment.
