In a swift 24-hour operation, Dubai Police’s General Department of Traffic, along with Al Khawaneej Police Station and the General Department of Operations, seized 23 vehicles and three motorbikes that were illegally modified to produce loud noises and disturbances in the Al Khawaneej area.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic, explained that the action was part of the “A Safe Road for Everyone” campaign. He noted that 24 traffic fines were issued to violators, emphasizing the importance of these efforts in boosting road safety and raising awareness among road users.

According to Article 2 of Decree No. 30 of 2023 on vehicle impoundment, vehicles modified for increased speed or excessive noise face mandatory administrative impoundment. Releasing such vehicles can incur fines of up to AED 10,000.

Major Warnings from Dubai Police

Modifications that increase engine speed, noise, or disturbance in residential areas are strictly prohibited.
Reckless and careless driving that endangers lives or damages roads will not be tolerated.

Dubai Police urged residents to report reckless behavior through the “Police Eye” or “We Are All Police” services on the Dubai Police app or by calling 901. The public is also encouraged to support the “A Safe Road for Everyone” campaign by promoting safe and responsible driving habits.
