Dubai Police has introduced the XPENG electric vehicle to its traffic fleet to improve emergency responses and enhance its presence in key areas. This step reflects their focus on using innovative technology for faster and more efficient operations.

Brigadier Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan, acting director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, shared that the vehicle will help manage traffic, increase police visibility in tourist spots, and ensure quicker responses to incidents.

“This addition aims to improve the quality of security and traffic services offered to the public,” he said.

The integration of XPENG into the police fleet also highlights their commitment to using advanced solutions to strengthen security in vital areas, including tourist destinations. This move aligns with Dubai’s goal of becoming a global leader in adopting sustainable technology, as explained by Brigadier Suwaidan.

Additionally, he praised the partnership between Dubai Police and Gulf Star Motors, the exclusive distributor of XPENG electric vehicles. Such collaborations, he noted, boost institutional cooperation and support Dubai’s strategic initiatives.

In a similar development last month, Dubai Police announced the addition of 200 Land Cruiser vehicles, distributed by Al-Futtaim Motors, to its patrol fleet. These vehicles are set to manage traffic and enhance the security presence in key areas across the emirate.
