The Dubai Press Club (DPC) has officially launched the first phase of the Dubai Content Creators’ Programme, designed to help emerging talents and content creators develop advanced skills for impactful digital content creation.
Running from December 16, 2024, to January 8, 2025, the initial phase is being organized in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy.
Training for the Future
During the three-week programme, experts from top financial media organizations will train participants on economic literacy and equip them with tools to navigate the fast-evolving digital landscape. The focus will be on the latest trends in economic reporting, helping creators craft accurate and credible content.
The programme began with a session led by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, who emphasized the importance of equipping content creators with tools and techniques to deliver clear, objective, and impactful messages.
UAE as a Media Hub
Speaking about the UAE’s global standing, Al Marri said:
“The UAE has developed specialised zones with world-class infrastructure, advanced technology, and flexible regulations, making it a regional hub for global media organizations.”
He also highlighted the importance of the programme, calling it a crucial step in fostering innovation and creating a media ecosystem that aligns with rapid global economic developments.
“The Ministry of Economy views media as a key partner in showcasing the UAE’s economic strengths, ongoing development, and transformative efforts, providing accurate insights into our national economy,” he added.
Building Financial Awareness
Mona Al Marri, President of Dubai Press Club, expressed her gratitude to the UAE Ministry of Economy for supporting this initiative.
“Creating content focused on economic topics plays a crucial role in improving financial literacy within communities. This leads to stronger, more sustainable economies,” she said.
She stressed the growing demand for reliable and comprehensive economic content amidst challenges like inflation, volatile financial markets, and rapidly evolving technologies. “Such content helps individuals make informed decisions and understand how macroeconomic policies shape our future.”
Comprehensive Workshops
Mahfoudha Abdullah, Specialist in Media Talent Development at Dubai Press Club, shared details about the programme’s agenda. It includes:
- Lectures on economic fundamentals and myths.
- Workshops on the role of AI in enhancing visual content.
- Discussions on balancing trending topics with objective analysis in economic content.
The sessions aim to provide a holistic approach to creating impactful and credible economic content.
