Dubai Safari Park is extending its timings this winter, letting visitors enjoy the park at night. During the evening hours, guests can witness animals’ behavior as it changes after dark. Lions will roar louder, pygmy hippos will be more active, and the carnivores’ nocturnal hunting instincts will kick in.
The night safari will run from 6 PM to 8 PM for a limited time, starting from December 13 to January 12. Tickets will be available on the park’s website from December 11.
Visitors can join two night safaris guided by wildlife experts, offering a chance to see the nighttime habits of over 90 species. The park will also feature interactive activities with animals and live performances, such as an African fire show and a neon light display.
This unique experience allows guests to observe how animals adapt to the dark, like using enhanced night vision, echolocation, and heightened senses of smell and hearing. Ahmad Al Zarouni, Director of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities at Dubai Municipality, said:
“The night safari introduces a whole new way to explore wildlife. It reveals hidden aspects of animal life after dark and highlights our dedication to animal welfare both during the day and at night.”
The extended hours align with Dubai’s busy tourist season. Dubai Safari Park assures that strict measures are in place to protect the ecosystem and ensure the animals’ routines are undisturbed. Only nocturnal animals will be part of this experience, allowing visitors to see them in their natural environment.
