Dubai-Sharjah Road Alert: RTA Announces Partial Closures for Maintenance

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a traffic advisory, announcing partial closures on major routes connecting Dubai and Sharjah. The closures come as part of scheduled road maintenance aimed at improving infrastructure and ensuring long-term road safety.

The affected routes include sections of Al Ittihad Road and parts of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, both crucial arteries for daily commuters. The closures will occur in phases over the coming days, mainly during off-peak hours to minimize disruption.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance and consider alternative routes. The RTA has urged drivers to stay updated via navigation apps, road signs, and official RTA social media channels for real-time traffic information.

The authority reassured the public that the maintenance is essential for smoother and safer travel, and emphasized the importance of cooperation and patience from road users during the temporary inconvenience.
