New Abra Services Offer Dh2 Rides Along the Dubai Canal, Reducing Traffic and Boosting Connectivity. Residents and workers in Dubai’s vibrant Business Bay area can now enjoy a convenient and budget-friendly ride. Thanks to the return of the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) popular abra service along the Dubai Canal. For just Dh2 per ride, passengers can avoid traffic and travel easily to key spots. These important destinations include Marasi, Dubai Water Canal, and Dubai Design District.

This service is aimed at improving accessibility in the area. It operates along two main routes connecting top destinations along the canal. There are regular departures every 15 to 20 minutes. The abra service provides Business Bay residents and tourists with a quick and cost-effective alternative to often busy roads.

New Routes Enhancing Tourism and Local Transport

RTA’s marine transport network includes traditional abras, water buses, and water taxis. It has been a staple of Dubai’s transport system for years. However, the new routes in Business Bay offer access to popular attractions and nearby residential areas. They also enhance Dubai’s reputation as a tourist-friendly destination.

There are various stops at major locations along the canal. The service is expected to increase foot traffic to nearby attractions, dining options, and leisure venues. It provides residents and visitors with an efficient and environmentally friendly transportation choice.

“The Business Bay water taxi service aligns with our vision to offer accessible, innovative, and sustainable transportation options,” said Ahmad Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency. “We aim to create a unique experience that merges convenience with enjoyment.”
