Dubai’s Damac Official Responds to Airline Venture Rumours

A senior executive at Damac Properties has denied the rumors about the company starting an airline.

Amira Sajwani, Managing Director at Damac, addressed the speculation during the launch event for their new project, Damac Islands, on Tuesday evening.

“To clear things up, we are not launching an airline,” she stated. “Damac Islands is the only destination you’ll need, and everything is just 20 minutes away.”

The clarification comes after Damac Properties, Dubai’s leading private developer, teased a new venture called “Damac Air” through social media posts and videos. They even created a website for the supposed new business.

However, Amira confirmed that this was simply a creative marketing strategy to promote Damac Islands, a luxury development featuring waterfront villas.

During the event, Amira also announced that many properties on Damac Islands—ranging from townhouses starting at AED 2.5 million to villas priced up to AED 100 million—had already sold out before the official launch.
