The event, hosted at Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR, promises to light up the night sky with an incredible mix of technology and human skill. Organizers shared that pyro drones, also known as firework drones, will soar through the skies while skydivers perform thrilling stunts to complement the show.

Kaltham Al Shamsi, Assistant Manager of Events Planning at Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRA), said:
“This special drone and pyrotechnics show is part of the Dubai Shopping Festival’s 30th anniversary celebrations. It’s a stunning mix of fireworks and advanced drone technology, with two spectacular performances scheduled for December 13 and January 11.”

On December 13, the show will feature 150 pyro drones, with performances at 8 PM and 10 PM, including a breathtaking skydiving act.

The Vision Behind the Show

Marco Niedermeier, CEO and producer of AO Multimedia and Drones, explained:

“In collaboration with Skydive Dubai, we’ve crafted two extraordinary shows. Drones will light up the sky with fireworks, while skydivers, leaping from 10,000 feet, perform stunning stunts enhanced by lights and pyrotechnics on their suits. These performers are among the most experienced in the world, manually controlling their effects for a captivating ‘dance’ in the air.”

AO Drones, based in Dubai, operates a fleet of 6,000 drones and has created iconic shows such as the Burj Khalifa New Year’s Eve event. The DSF drone show has been choreographed by German art director Jan Ising and a team of 3D animation experts, ensuring a seamless blend of light, motion, and storytelling.

Cutting-Edge Drone Technology

The drones used in the show are equipped with advanced micro-engines and software, allowing them to create stunning 3D animations and light effects.

A standout feature is their ability to integrate fireworks with LED visuals, producing a one-of-a-kind performance. The drones can operate even in windy conditions, showcasing their precision and reliability.

A Celebration of Dubai’s Journey

Al Shamsi highlighted the show’s theme:

“This performance takes viewers on a journey through three decades of unforgettable moments, celebrating milestones and the transformative impact of the Dubai Shopping Festival on the city’s cultural and entertainment scene.”

Daily DSF Drone Shows

In addition to this special event, the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) drone shows are running twice daily at 8 PM and 10 PM from December 6 to January 12. Featuring over 1,000 state-of-the-art drones and cutting-edge technology, the shows deliver a sensory experience that redefines live entertainment.
