Spotlight on Emerging Markets

Moniify, headquartered in the UAE, highlights industries shaping the future, such as tech, AI, crypto, and space. Speaking at Dubai International Financial Center, Sawiris shared why the UAE is the ideal location.

“The UAE offers unmatched ease of doing business, digital efficiency, and a secure environment. Its central location is also a major advantage,” he said.

Sawiris also credited Dubai’s leadership, particularly Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for fostering innovation. “Building Dubai Media City decades ago was groundbreaking. It’s a model for global success,” he noted.

A Platform Tailored for Gen Z

Explaining his motivation for launching Moniify, Sawiris said, “Young people today need more than traditional business news. They often ask me about the secret to success, and Moniify is my way of giving them the tools to achieve their dreams.”

Dr. Yaser Bishr, an advisor to the platform, emphasized their mission to empower young people. “We want to guide them through evolving markets in areas like AI, decentralized finance, and space investments, which will shape the economy of the next decade,” he said.

Michael Peters, CEO of Moniify, highlighted the platform’s unique approach. “Traditional finance platforms don’t connect with millennials and Gen Z, especially in emerging markets. Our goal is to let these markets share their own stories with the world,” he explained.

Content That Connects

Moniify collaborates with creators from regions like Malaysia, Singapore, and India to make complex topics relatable. For instance, presenter Ornella Hernandez focuses on space technology. “Our first video explores satellite manufacturing in the region, showcasing its potential,” she said.

Uptin Saiidi, host of a daily show on Moniify, shared how the platform caters to diverse audiences. “The challenge is tailoring content for viewers in Indonesia, Singapore, or Saudi Arabia. We ensure our content resonates across all target markets,” he explained.

Bringing Fresh Perspectives

Sara and Aaron Wee, known as ‘The Weeblings’ on Instagram, bring a fresh angle to Moniify. “We’re exploring how macroeconomics impacts everyday life, like how interest rates affect homebuyers,” said Aaron. Sara added, “The educational nature of these videos demands in-depth research, which we’re constantly doing.”

With Moniify, Sawiris aims to create a space where Gen Z can access the knowledge they need to thrive in the fast-changing world of finance and technology. The platform’s unique approach promises to shape the future of young entrepreneurs and investors.
