Contributions in 2023 and 2024 are helping beneficiaries of the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai secure permanent housing. The philanthropic efforts of the Emaar Charity Foundation highlight how important the private sector is in building sustainable community development.
Hessa Buhumaid, Director General of CDA, noted that the Jood platform allows contributors to see the real results of their support and how their donations improve the lives of community members. The CDA announced that donations from Emaar Charity Foundation through the Jood platform have exceeded AED 35 million in 2023 and 2024. This financial support shows the foundation’s commitment to social programs, focusing largely on providing permanent housing for low-income families through the ‘Bayti’ initiative, which enhances family stability.
The Jood platform serves as a central hub for humanitarian and charitable projects in Dubai. It enables businesses, leaders, and individuals to contribute to social initiatives, actively supporting sustainable community development while furthering the goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 33.
Hessa Buhumaid emphasized the dedication of Dubai’s leading institutions to improve community development and strengthen social bonds among various groups. She highlighted Emaar Charity Foundation as a key supporter of the Jood platform and its initiatives, showcasing the essential role of the private sector in promoting sustainable community development projects.
“Many companies in Dubai want to contribute positively to the community. The Jood platform allows them to discover important programs across health, education, housing, and social care sectors, ensuring contributions are directed where they are most needed. Moreover, the platform enables donors to see the outcomes of social support initiatives and how their help improves lives,” she stated.

Buhumaid continued, “Emaar, as a leading contributor in the residential sector, has played an important role in supporting the Bayti initiative through the Jood platform. Their support has helped 60 Emirati families secure permanent homes, bringing them more stability over the past two years.”

The Bayti initiative was recognized as a ‘Pioneering Project in the Field of Social Work for Private Institutions’ at a recent ceremony in Doha, highlighting the Emaar Charity Foundation’s contributions and commitment to social responsibility.
The initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on Dubai residents with limited income who are living in temporary housing. It supports those who have received housing grants but need additional funding to build, finish, and furnish their homes, ultimately helping to ease financial pressures.
