In a breakthrough for emergency medicine, the UAE Ministry of Interior officially exempted 13 categories of critical-care physicians from speeding tickets when racing to deal with emergency cases. The new policy, which takes effect instantly, makes medic cars de facto ambulances during emergencies.

Who Qualifies?
The “Golden Hour Privilege” applies to:
• Trauma surgeons • Neurosurgeons • Cardiac specialists
• Pediatric emergency physicians • Obstetric crisis units

The Fine Print:
Must engage new purple strobe lights (separate from ambulance blues)
Only usable traveling to hospital after having ER approval in advance
Top speed of 160km/h (compared to standard 140km/h limit)

Why It Matters:
– Reduces response times for stroke & heart attack cases by up to 40%
– 1,287 certified doctors already registered in Phase 1
– Violators face 10x fines for abuse of privilege
