The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, has achieved a significant milestone by welcoming its one-millionth visitor less than two months after the Expo’s opening on April 13. This rapid influx of attendees underscores the pavilion’s compelling storytelling and global appeal.
The landmark visitor, a Japanese construction industry professional from Kobe, was greeted by Shihab Al Faheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion. A special commemorative certificate was presented to mark the occasion.
The pavilion, themed “Earth to Ether,” offers an immersive, multi-sensory journey through the UAE’s narrative, highlighting its cultural heritage and innovative strides. Its design draws inspiration from the traditional ‘areesh’ architecture and the date palm tree, symbolizing the fusion of Emirati and Japanese craftsmanship.
Located in the Empowering Lives zone near the Japanese Pavilion and Shining Hat exhibition hall, the UAE Pavilion operates daily from 9 AM to 9 PM until the Expo concludes on October 13, 2025. Visitors can also experience authentic Emirati cuisine, explore products by UAE-based creatives, and participate in dynamic workshops.
