flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, is making its first appearance at the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2024, held from 13 to 15 November at the Sakhir Airbase in Manama. The airline is showcasing its retrofitted Boeing 737-800 with lie-flat seats in Business Class, offering a taste of its new cabin interiors that prioritize comfort and a premium experience.
Experience flydubai’s New Look
Visitors at the airshow can explore the revamped cabin on day one and day two, experiencing flydubai’s latest upgrades, now available on most of its fleet. The retrofits reflect flydubai’s commitment to enhancing customer experience with state-of-the-art interiors and tech-driven improvements.
flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith commented: “The Bahrain International Airshow is a key event for showcasing aviation innovations. We’re excited to be here, underlining our long-standing commitment to Bahrain, a market we’ve proudly served since 2009. This event gives us the chance to present our redesigned cabin interiors and demonstrate our dedication to passenger comfort and advanced technology.”
flydubai’s Extensive Retrofit Program
The airline’s multimillion-dollar retrofit initiative, launched in early 2024, has already upgraded 15 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with plans to complete retrofits on two more by year-end and expand to 20 aircraft in 2025. The updated cabins feature an 11.6-inch HD entertainment screen in Economy Class, packed with movies, TV shows, music, and games in multiple languages, elevating the inflight experience for all passengers.
flydubai’s Strong Bahrain Connection
Bahrain remains an essential market for flydubai, with over 2,800 flights operated between January and October 2024 alone, and 31 weekly flights connecting Dubai and Bahrain. Since launching service in Bahrain in 2009, flydubai has carried over four million passengers on this route.
Today, flydubai’s network spans more than 125 destinations in 55 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, with a modern fleet of 88 Boeing 737s and more than 90 new direct routes from Dubai.
