This morning, many residents, particularly in Abu Dhabi, woke up to foggy and hazy weather. The Met department has issued red and yellow alerts for various areas in the emirate, and these warnings are expected to stay in effect until 9:30 am.

The areas affected by the fog include Al Wathba, Tal Al Sarab, Liwa desert, Asab, Hamim, Nahil, and parts of Al Ain.

For most people, the weather is expected to clear up and be partly cloudy later in the day. However, fog could return on Friday morning in some coastal and inland regions.

Temperatures are forecasted to reach highs of 35 degrees Celsius in Dubai and 32 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi.

Waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will be light.
