FTA Urges December-License Businesses to Register for Corporate Tax Before Year-End

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is urging businesses in the UAE with licenses set to expire in December to register for corporate tax before the year ends. The FTA highlighted the necessity of timely compliance, warning that failing to register could result in penalties and operational disruptions.

To make the process easier, the FTA has enhanced registration via its EmaraTax platform, which offers a straightforward system for businesses to meet their tax obligations efficiently. The platform also includes assistance for those unfamiliar with the registration process, helping them to meet deadlines with ease.

Corporate tax was introduced earlier to promote economic sustainability and align the UAE with global tax standards. The FTA continues to encourage businesses to utilize the resources available on EmaraTax to ensure smooth compliance.

Businesses are advised to take action quickly to avoid last-minute rushes or possible mistakes in the registration process. For additional help, the FTA offers comprehensive guidance and support through its official website and customer service channels.
