New musical road stuns motorists with classical tunes. In a spectacular blend of art, innovation, and infrastructure, Fujairah has unveiled the UAE’s first “musical road,” and it’s already striking a chord with the public—literally. The stretch of road, which plays Beethoven’s iconic symphony as vehicles drive over it at the correct speed, has gone viral, capturing the imagination of drivers and social media users alike.

The unique musical experience is made possible through specially engineered grooves embedded in the asphalt. When cars travel over the road at a designated speed—usually around 60 km/h—the tires produce vibrations that translate into recognizable musical notes.

There is more to the initiative than just amusement. According to authorities, the project’s goal is to encourage safe driving practices by rewarding drivers who stick to the speed limit with a fun audio surprise.

Videos of the musical stretch have been posted on social media by drivers, who have praised the innovative idea and referred to it as a “symphonic reward for safe driving.” Now, fans from all across the Emirates go by car to Fujairah to witness the musical wonder for themselves.

Officials hinted that more musical roads could be developed in other emirates, possibly featuring a wider range of genres—from traditional Emirati music to modern hits. For now, Beethoven is the star of Fujairah’s highways, bringing harmony to traffic one note at a time.
