Hotpack Aims for Net-Zero Emissions by 2050 and Becomes 97% Recyclable

In its most recent 2024 Sustainability Report, UAE-based packaging behemoth Hotpack Global announced that 97% of their 4,000 product line is now recyclable, demonstrating a major shift towards environmental responsibility and confirming its position as a leader in the sector. The company’s product lineup now prominently features biodegradable items, post‑consumer recycled plastics, and compostable paper alternatives—underlining its commitment to a circular economy.

A 2.2 MW rooftop solar array at Hotpack’s National Industries Park facility is expected to offset nearly 3,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, and the company has set ambitious goals to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 63 percent by 2035 and Scope 3 emissions per unit by 37.5 percent. These proactive measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are also highlighted in the report.

Hotpack has gained recognition for its ESG openness by obtaining the EcoVadis Committed label and GRI certification, which boosts stakeholder trust in its sustainability reporting. Through programmes like the Hotpack Happiness Project and CSR investments like women-focused business training and Ramadan meal deliveries, the company also promotes the wellbeing of the community and its employees.
