The Ras Al Khaimah Police have started a campaign to help residents protect their vehicles from theft. The campaign focuses on educating the public about safety measures.

Residents are encouraged not to leave valuable items in plain sight inside their cars. Instead, it’s best to take belongings with you and avoid leaving the engine running or the keys inside, even for a short time. The campaign also warns against hiding spare keys near the vehicle and emphasizes the importance of locking all doors and windows.

To improve vehicle safety, residents should park in well-lit areas that are visible and ideally have security cameras. Installing a loud anti-theft alarm system is also recommended.

The Ras Al Khaimah Police have highlighted the dangers of being careless and stressed the need for preventive actions to keep vehicles secure. They also suggest that when traveling or going abroad, people consider leaving their cars with family or friends.

On Sunday, the Ras Al Khaimah Police announced the arrest of a masked thief who vandalized vehicles and stole items from inside. This thief would break car windows to take belongings while wearing a mask to conceal his identity. The incidents gained significant attention on social media, where videos and images of the targeted cars were widely shared.

A specialized team was formed to investigate the thefts, and a detailed plan was created to capture the suspect. The team collected important evidence and began searching for the thief. The RAK Police arrested the suspect, who was linked to several thefts and identified as an Asian resident.
