After overcoming cancer three times, an 85-year-old Indian expatriate in Dubai has emerged as a symbol of resiliency and hope. This grandma, who has had 85 radiation treatments, had her journey acknowledged at the Indian Consulate in Dubai during a passionate cancer awareness campaign.

Among the event’s 40 participants who donated their hair for cancer patients, her tale stood out among the five courageous cancer survivors honoured. The purpose of the event was to highlight the mental and physical fortitude required to fight the illness, motivate the community, and increase awareness.

Her indomitable spirit inspired those who attended the awareness drive. Family members and volunteers alike lauded her as a living example of tenacity and positivism, inspiring others to never give up, no matter what the odds.

The Indian Consulate complimented all participants on their contributions. Organisers hope that similar events will continue to build better support networks for cancer fighters in the UAE, transforming survivors like this remarkable grandma into symbols of courage and determination.
