Vasanthi Cheruveettil, a 59-year-old Kannur-based tailor from Kerala, has proved it possible to walk alone to Everest Base Camp by relying on guts and YouTube instructions. Vasanthi is an autodidact trekker who prepared carefully for more than four months based on the available online instructions in order to refine her physical fitness and trekking skills.
Her remarkable journey started as a personal challenge but quickly turned out to be an example of courage and endurance.
