Indian visitors headed Yas Island, the Abu Dhabi destination for leisure and entertainment, where a record 38 million people visited in 2024, the Miral CEO Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi said. The destination of choice for the world’s leisure and entertainment seekers recorded a 10% year-on-year increase in visitor numbers, demonstrating its increased global popularity.

This influx of visitors is opening the door to additional attractions, with new rides, entertainment areas, and hospitality projects in the pipeline. Yas Island boasts international hotspots like Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World, and SeaWorld, attracting families and adrenaline junkies alike.

To facilitate this exponential growth, Miral will create thousands of new jobs in operations, tourism services, and entertainment positions, cementing Abu Dhabi as a premier tourism destination in the region. The expansion is in line with the vision of economic diversification by world-class infrastructure and experiences for the emirate.

With Indian visitors powering much of the drive, targeted campaigns and enhanced connectivity between the UAE and India are set to fuel these numbers even higher in 2025. Yas Island’s transformation marks not only an increase in tourism but a broader dedication to inclusive, international leisure appeal.
