Defence Minister Israel Katz issued a strong warning on Wednesday, stating that Israel will intensify its strikes in Gaza if Hamas continues its rocket attacks on Israeli areas.

“I want to send a clear message to the leaders of the terrorists in Gaza: If Hamas does not soon allow the release of Israeli hostages from Gaza and continues targeting Israeli communities, it will face an intensity of strikes that Gaza has not experienced in a long time,” Katz said in a statement. His comments followed a visit to the Israeli town of Netivot, which recently came under rocket fire from Gaza.
