There have been rumors circulating online that IU and Park Bo-gum reportedly earned a whopping Dh1.27 million per episode for their parts in the much-awaited K-drama “When Life Gives You Tangerines”. But producers of the show have now come forward to put the matter straight.
In a statement, the production house of the drama labeled the exaggerated amounts as speculative and incorrect. In an acknowledgment of both actors’ A-list and tremendous star power, the company made it clear that the actual salary rates are private but “well within industry standards.
Industry observers and fans had been buzzing over the alleged figures, wondering about increasing production budgets in Korean dramas. This clarification dispels the increasing rumor about outrageous paychecks, even for South Korea’s biggest stars.
