Biden Speaks Out on Cancer Fight: ‘Your Love Lifts Me Every Day’

US President Joe Biden has broken his silence to speak out about his recent prostate cancer diagnosis, thanking Americans and global leaders for their overwhelming love and support. The 82-year-old referred to cancer as a condition that “touches us all,” while promising to battle it with strength and tenacity.

Diagnosed with a malignant type of prostate cancer, Biden made it clear that he is receiving treatment and is as committed as ever to his presidential duties. His message was not just about his own struggle but also the fight against cancer that has millions of people all over the world.

Biden has been a longtime proponent of cancer research, particularly after losing his son Beau Biden to brain cancer in 2015. His administration introduced the Cancer Moonshot initiative, which seeks to halve the cancer fatality rate within the next 25 years.

As words of encouragement keep flooding in from both sides of the political aisle, Biden’s honest update rings true with many — affirming the sentiment that no one battles cancer alone and that empathy, research, and strength are essential in this collective experience.
