UAE-based conglomerate Al Futtaim Group has officially launched Kuwait Festival City, marking a significant expansion of its retail and commercial ventures in the Gulf region. The new development was established through the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), underlining Kuwait’s commitment to attracting strategic foreign investment.
Kuwait Festival City promises to be a premier destination for shopping, entertainment, and leisure, featuring a dynamic mix of international brands, lifestyle experiences, and family attractions. Al Futtaim’s move mirrors its successful model in Dubai Festival City, aiming to replicate the blend of retail innovation and consumer engagement.
The announcement aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in high-growth markets across the Middle East. “We are proud to bring our global expertise and regional insight to Kuwait, fostering economic development while offering unparalleled value to customers,” said a spokesperson from Al Futtaim.
The project is expected to generate employment opportunities, support local SMEs, and drive tourism and foot traffic in the surrounding areas. With construction phases already underway, Kuwait Festival City is poised to become a landmark retail hub and a symbol of economic collaboration between the UAE and Kuwait.
