Kuwait’s Tough New Traffic Laws to Go into Effect on April 22

Kuwait will enforce its strict new traffic code on April 22, a major change in enforcement of road safety. The authorities have announced tougher punishments for grave violations, such as reckless driving, obstruction of public safety, and excessive speeding. The new traffic code is designed to deter violations and promote stricter compliance with road discipline.

The infractions will include immediate arrest of certain violations under the new legislation, especially involving reckless driving, public road racing, and unauthorized driving. Serial offenders will get harsh punishment including long jail sentences and hefty fines. Traffic officials stress that there is a need to crack down on accidents and fatalities on the roads of Kuwait.

Apart from higher fines, authorities have also revealed more stringent surveillance measures such as AI cameras and more patrols in risky zones. These steps are likely to act as a deterrent against regular offenders and ensure better road safety throughout the country. The step is part of Kuwait’s larger plan to upgrade its traffic rules and establish a more disciplined culture on the roads.

As the April 22 deadline draws near, citizens are encouraged to get to know the new rules to escape fines. The tighter regulations demonstrate the government’s dedication to placing public safety at the forefront and minimizing the occurrence of road accidents.
